Kabbs is a pet spa and boutique based in Chennai. Besides providing spa treatments and massages for dogs, Kabbs also merchandises pet food and accessories.

Challenge

The concept of a pet spa was alien to Chennai at that time. Pet lovers trusted no one other than the vets to provide care for the pets. We needed to create a brand that pet lovers would trust as well as come to suggest others.

Solution

We created a brand that would instantly suggest that pets would be in 7th heaven when they are in Kabbs. Right from the logo to each collateral was designed to suggest the ultimate pet heaven. The brand was an instant hit and Chennai warmly embraced a new era in pet spas.

  • The logo had 3 elements. A dog, sitting on a piece of moon, floating in the cloud. This visualization was aligned to the brand strategy of suggesting a pet’s 7th heaven.
  • Since the brand was going to be largely a neighbourhood brand, we used a bold typeface that could be easily read on signage, strollers on road and on social media.

  • We created an illustration of a seamless pet resort. This could have been anywhere from Phuket to Monte Carlo – a posh, pampering heaven for pets.
  • We used horizontal navigation to help users move from one location of the pet resort to another.

  • We created print campaigns in line with the brand strategy. Neighbourhood newspapers and mainlines were targeted at specific locations to sensitise pet owners of the services offered by Kabbs.
  • The colorful and cute illustrative style of Kabbs was unmissable and soon translated into thumping walk-ins.
