Red Earth Tadoba is a jungle resort located at the periphery of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve - one of the best places to spot tigers in India. Unlike typical Tadoba resorts, elements of the jungle and the resort interspersed to form an exotic biome/environment.

Challenge

In this case, the challenge facing Red Earth Tadoba was two pronged - located near Tadoba National Park and built for the adventurously inclined, Red Earth wanted to reach out to patrons who were adrenaline chasers and confessed safari enthusiasts. At the same time, it was in a place where it had to compete against more established (read popular) resorts.

Solution

One MG set out to create a website fit to announce this new entrant to wildlife and nature enthusiasts, highlighting its USP of being a sustainable resort invested in the local Gond community and the protection of the environment. We created a marketing campaign across Google and Social Media channels with multiple messaging formats to target various audiences.

  • A search engine optimized website was built on Wordpress to target adventure lovers and safari enthusiasts.
  • The website was made image-heavy to connect with and entice jungle enthusiasts with a penchant for tigers. Illustrations with a watercolour effect were also created to communicate the appeal.
  • Given Red Earth Tadoba is a niche brand, easy-to-consume content was used to target an audience who shared the values of sustainability like the brand.
  • The website also hosted a wildlife gallery to draw birdwatchers and avid safari enthusiasts to the resort.
  • A blog was integrated into the website with articles on different aspects of the resort and for better SEO.

  • Digital campaigns with multiple promotions and messages were created and boosted across Google Search and Display, Facebook and Instagram.
  • A microsite was created to host regular digital campaigns and capture leads visiting from Google ads and social media campaigns.
  • Remarketing campaigns targeting existing leads were designed.
  • Email marketing campaigns were crafted to cross-sell the newly-unveiled resort to customers from its sister resorts - Red Earth Kabini and Grassroots Wayanad. Another campaign was designed to target travel agents across India.
  • Posts were boosted on Instagram and Facebook to increase brand awareness and increase bookings for the Tadoba resort.
  • An organic social calendar was created to pique the interest of safari enthusiasts and eco-tourists.

  • Illustration based and motion graphic posts, cinemagraphs and videos were regularly created to position the resort as the destination among wildlife enthusiasts.

  • Over a span of 14 months, the website received more than 1 lakh page visits
  • The digital campaigns generated a page reach of over 8 million on Facebook
